Balance is a seriously tricky thing. Whether it's balancing time for myself and others, time for work and play or just trying to hold that tree pose longer, finding balance can be complex. At least, until it isn't. I marvel when I hear stories of best selling authors who cook supper for their families most nights or Fortune 500 CEO's that drive their kids to school. They've definitely figured out how to focus on the things that matter for the long term. It isn't that they don't work very hard, but they've figured out how to do this without sacrificing quality of life for themselves and their nearest and dearest.
Sometimes it can be so hard to see the forest through the trees on this. I know if Bill Gates can do it, that I can to. The hardest part of it all is going to be learning to say no if something isn't aligned with my path. The clearer that becomes, the easier it gets to stay on the path and do the few things that really add up to make a difference.
