Being humble keeps us open. It can help ensure we are ready to receive new ideas, partnerships or perspectives. Not being humble can cause us to fall in love with our own solution and not the problem that we're trying to solve. Pride can be like blinders that hide solutions from us. We often don't intentionally put these blinders on, they often creep up slowly over time and we don't even notice until we get stuck or fail forward.
Like any habit, humbleness is a muscle that can be strengthened, especially if we put the problem or the thing we're trying to solve at the centre and not get attached to anything else.
