Three Steps for Success

I've been writing a lot about Love lately. For some it might be touchy-feely, but for me its something to be taken very seriously.  It really is the root of the root and the bud of the bud, as E.E. Cummings wrote so eloquently wrote of it.

I finally finished the second episode of Al Etmanski's bookinar with Marian Tompson that I referenced about a week ago. She went into further detail on the quote I was so inspired by then.

Here's her three step process for sustained success:

  1. Love yourself. You can't let yourself burn out and you can only sacrifice so much for whatever your important movement is.
  2. Love the people who are closest to you. These are the people who will be impacted by your work. Don't forget about them and realize they have needs too. Honour those connections.
  3. Love what you're doing. There's great value in doing what your heart tells you to do. You will also get to meet others who come from this same place. When you meet at a heart level, there will be nothing quite like that connection.

With that, Marian Tompson has basically dropped the mic. My heart is definitely grateful for her sharing her love and wisdom with the world.
