It feels like the times they are a changing. In innovation there's been a lot of research on jumping to the next S-curve. Organizations are in-tune enough with their external environment and creative enough to already be landing what iss next before they start to peek on their existing curve. It's a series of steps to prepare and then a leap to get into it.
The next curves for many are coming from a different place than in the past. It's all about business and technology serving our humanity. Al Etmanski does a great job of weaving together various events, influences and movements that are out on the edge or have already taken the leap. There's weight to this now and that mass propels this forward.
It's hard to say for certain how some of these things are going to play out. It does feel like the winds have shifted though and for those of us that are fueled by this kind of thinking, it's full steam ahead with a strong wind at our back to help push us and others forward.
