Retracing

It's interesting as an adult to try to retrace where certain characteristics or ways you do things come from. As we grow we aren't conscious of all the sayings, attitudes and values we are constantly absorbing from those around us. It's actually pretty cool when you start to see or others identify for you where you may have picked something up. The only sad part is sometimes it can be too late to take advantage of the wisdom from those who have imprinted these things upon us. It may just be the way of it though. It may not be things that others could have told us. We likely had to stumble a little and figure things out on our own.
