Mosaic?

I'm always so proud of being Canadian. To be from a place that welcomes people as they are and accepts that the differences they bring are a strength that will help us to learn, evolve and be better. That is it only through all those diverse perspectives that we are whole.

I was saddened to hear the CBC News story this morning and learn that 68% of Canadians think minorities need to do more to fit in. And that that number has grown significantly in the last 20 years.

I'm heartened by the fact that many in my millennial generation favour multiculturalism and by beautiful stories like this one here from my dear friend Alanna. Today, and many days, I'm lifted by Meg Wheatley's wise words.

Remember, you don’t fear people whose story you know.

Real listening always brings people closer together.

Trust that meaningful conversations can change your world.

Rely on human goodness.

Stay together.
