As I've been contemplating the altMBA program, I've been reading all of the things on their website.
The letter from Wes Kao, the Director, hit it home for me. When she was hired, Seth told her that the box she was drawing for herself needed to be 10 times bigger. That she kept filling the box she was in and it was time for a much larger scope for her life.
I'm so grateful for all of the times that someone else has told me to draw myself a bigger box. When they saw my own potential before I had really become aware of it. It's very funny the light bulb that has gone off for me as various people have encouraged me throughout my life. This was usually followed by a feeling of speaking up and being delighted by the outcome.
Reminder for ourselves to keep operating in a box that we can't quite fill and when we do that it's time to make it bigger. Be on the look out for others who might be in need of some encouragement to spread out. Seeing someone who has reached a peak and needs to head back down into the valley to get to the next. It's a lot of fun when we're climbing together, even if we aren't always on exactly the same hill.
