Leap

Before we try something new, whether big or small, we have anxiety. It's that same feeling that I get when I'm standing on top of a tall diving board getting ready to jump in. Our bodies physical reaction to this fear is a good thing. When we are standing close to an edge we could fall and seriously injure ourselves. The fear is protecting us.

Our body processes fear and anxiety about new ideas and conflict with others similarly. The same place in our brain reacts for physical danger and fear of not being right or liked. This fear though is only hindering us.  Stopping us from advancing forward, especially in a world that is changing at such a rapid pace. The only way around is to leap. It doesn't work to just put a toe in. Watching others leap is what inspires me to keep leaping myself. In a split moment you can change everything and when you look back you often wonder why it took you so long to take the plunge.
