Acumen is an amazing organization that is focused on empowering social entrepreneurs and change-making individuals and organizations to transform the way the world tackles poverty. They have an amazing free/very affordable education series from top thinkers across many sectors at Acumen+. They also have chapters across the globe that are helping to do the same things in a local context.
Their recent annual report, Making the Impossible Possible, outlines the five opportunities the organization will focus on to expand and deepen its impact in the next three years. One of these five is Moral Leadership. It's about leaders and a style of leadership that posses "moral imagination—the ability to see the world as it is and the audacity to imagine the world as it could be—and the courage required to make this vision real." They outline the five traits of moral leaders here.
All of this is part of the tipping point in terms of social change that I'm so hopeful is coming. That we have a generation of leaders who are ready to be the people the world needs them to be. Just in time for a set of complex problems that will need a new, strategic, creative and hopeful vision and tactics for the future.
