When I was in my 20's I thought everything about me was original. Biologically I obviously had some similarities with my family members, but I had a bias for ignoring the aspects of who I was that weren't unique. As I've moved into my 30's I've become very aware of the pieces of myself that I've been gifted by my family members. I'm actually a little sad that I didn't clue into these things earlier as I could have asked for wisdom from family members who are no longer with me about how they dealt with things.

The good thing is there is still lots of space to learn. I see so many of the same ways that I do things with those who I share genes with. I'm trying to be conscious of sharing and learning more from those who have already wrestled with some of the same things that I have.
