One of my favourite things to read in a book is the dedication and the acknowledgement. I think you can learn a lot about a person by how they express their gratitude. One of the best job interview questions I've heard is to ask a candidate how many people in their life they are grateful for.
It's also a section that I think shows how much care went into the creation of the overall book. You know everyone won't read this section and so putting a lot of effort into this section shows how committed you are to this project and those who have helped you realize it.
I also find a lot of inspiration in these sections. Just listening to others acknowledge and express gratitude is a powerful thing. People never tire of reading thank you, even if it's to someone else. We like to be celebrated. A good reminder of ensuring you spend enough time being grateful and celebrating those you are grateful for.
