Timing is everything. I don't tend to notice how much my worldview has shifted until I repeat an experience from earlier in my life.
Today it was simply watching Lord of the Rings. Before I had looked at this very much as good and bad sides. Today I found myself wondering why the "bad" side feels like they have to fight. I wonder when they didn't feel seen, respected or acknowledged and how that bubbled into this hate for the other.
I saw more clearly the levels of which Aragorn was struggling with stepping into his destiny. All the ways the resistance was presenting for him.
When I was younger it never made sense when someone would say that I would understand something more when I was older. I found the statement quite irritating actually. I'm starting to get it though. As we layer on more experiences we start to notice the world as it is more often rather than how our worldview perceives it should be.
