Rooting Down

Spring cleaning is not my favourite time of year to get into, but once you're in it there's something nice about it. It's a good time to start fresh. To give yourself a clean slate.

We often check in on how are we doing on those resolutions we made for the year. I was looking back at some of my posts from the beginning of the year and reflecting on how things are going.

I wanted to cultivate possibility in my life, inspired by Emily Dickinson's beautiful poem. I started with a poem and followed it with concrete steps. This just so happened to be how I was thinking about things at the time. Looking back I am realizing that I have to feel something before I can know/understand it.

When I lead with my head it's more certain, but often doesn't work out as well. It's times when I have surrendered to my heart that I feel the best about the results, even though I may be terrified when I start walking down the path. I know how to be curious and think things through to get clearer about something.  What I am still trying to figure out is a similar process that is based in the heart. How do I root into this and channel it in everything I do?
