Gliding

I really like a plan. I like to say this is when things will happen and then to check things off my list as I make my way toward it. I can have some control issues when plans change. I even try to force things to still move in that original direction. The trouble is when I do that the pressure builds up from trying to hold the course of something that really wants to go another way.

I'm trying to be more sensitive to when things need to change course. To move with the energy of things instead of trying to control the direction of that energy.

It's a little bit like my struggle with icy patches when skiing. I try to grip in too hard when I hit ice. By trying to control too much, I usually end up falling down. When I trust the motion and go with it, I'm far more likely to make the turn successfully and continue gliding happily down the hill.
