What Rises?

There is so much competing for our time. It's unlikely there will ever be a point in our life when that changes. There is always an opportunity cost of committing to one thing and saying no to another. What's the filter for going about how we prioritize? Do we have one?

Is it the most urgent thing that gets the yes? Or maybe something that would cause conflict if we didn't choose it? Or do we choose someone else's priority instead of our own?

There isn't a right or wrong of how to prioritize. How much time do we as individuals or as part of our professional or personal relationships spend thinking about how to decide what ends up at the top of the pile?
