I've been having trouble keeping up on my usual online reading. I've been lost in a world of fiction lately. I was binging Seth Godin's blog tonight and came across his post about the tree emoji.
The tree emoji, on the other hand, celebrates the patient and generous acts of planting seeds, watering them, caring for them, and then, in a generation, you have a tree. – excerpt from Seth Godin's Blog
It struck home.
I often talk about this weird vision I have of myself as a love farmer. Sometimes I plant new things and tend them. Other times I see things that are already in the earth and add my heart to those. My favourite is when someone else is trying to help something grow and they invite me in to share my love to help.
It's a long process. Sometimes It's hard to even tell if it's working. Then one day a sprout and over time a whole beautiful tree.
