I love the idea of time as the great equalizer. It's the only thing that we all have in the same amount. We can obviously have longer or shorter lives, but we all have the same number of hours each day we are on this earth.
Our great challenge is to figure out how to use these hours in the best way. It may not always mean producing more. It can mean looking at how many hours we use to make a connection with others and with ourselves.
As technology speeds up our societal pace, our ability to take control of our own time will only become more important. It will be the difference between those who are stuck on the treadmill and those who can change the speed or even step off of the machine entirely.
