My Generational Tribe

I love being a millennial. It's a very fun tribe to be a part of. Millennials have an amazing social conscience. I had a weird moment of pride this week about being a part of that.

CBC's Ideas asked some interesting questions about swearing in our society. It looked at how swearing had evolved over hundreds of years in different languages.

Millennial values actually showed up in terms of how we related to profanity. Inclusiveness  was a lens that we used to filter words that we found offensive. Traditional four letter words are lower on the list compared to words and slurs that would denigrate a group of people.

It's small things like this that make me sure of where the world will head.  That the generational tribe I'm a part of will leave people, place and planet better than we found it.
