Cats need very little to be content. A safe place with food, water and some love and they will be happy and purring all of the time. They are innately focused in the present. I think this presence in the moment is part of what leads to their contentment.
We're not happy when we are worrying about the future or what someone else will think about a decision we made. The best chance we have is to stay present and soak in what's happening around us at this moment. I'm always surprised at how much beauty exists when we take a moment to see it.
