Time is our great equalizer. We all have the same amount in a day. The difference I've seen in people who are living a meaningful and joyful life and those who are just moving from day to day is how they figure out how to use their time.
Instant communication and social media mean that our minds can be even more scattered than ever. Thinking about this I started to Google and stumbled upon a Fast Company article on Odd and Effective Ways to Prioritize.
I had heard of a few of them before, but this was the first time I'd run across Warren Buffet's avoid at all costs list. You make a list of 25 things you'd like to do, then narrow it down to five and the other 20 become part of your avoid at all costs list. It's never the stuff that won't go anywhere that gets us distracted, but not being able to choose amongst the good and exciting options. Any of the ideas/initiatives would likely be great. The tricky part is having the discipline to focus because you know its the only way to make big things happen.
