Grateful Pose

Tonight I got to practice yoga outside. It was glorious. Yoga has a way of making me feel content and doing it outside in nature augmented the goodness.

The final pose was what our instructor called a flying camel. It was like this pose though instead of resting our hands on our hips or feet, we sent our hands and hearts up into the sky after the backbend (sort of like a sun salutation). In it we were intended to send our gratitude out into the world knowing that we would make space to receive more.

It reminded me how uplifting being gracious can be and why practicing it is so important.
