I've been listening to The Next 150 from CBC radio and Walrus Talks. It asks young leaders across Canada to talk about what the next 150 years of our country might look like.
An early episode has an interview from Inuk filmaker Alethea Arnaquq-Baril. One of her calls to action is a longer time frame on our decisions. To stop making decisions on 5 year business cycles, but instead think of the impact on our decision on the next 1,000 years.
It's hard to predict anything out that far. Just trying to intentionally stretch out our lens brings a different dynamic and more thoughtful process to the chocies we make.
