When I manage to slow my brain down enough to be present in the moment, I'm almost always content. The negative emotions usually come from dwelling on what has been or what I think is yet to come. Neither of which I can really do much about.
I'm practicing slowing my brain down and staying more present. It's such a shame when in a moment of celebration, I'm already thinking about the next thing that I need to do instead of savouring that joy.
