Six years ago I would have said you were crazy if you told me that I'd be living anywhere but Newfoundland and Labrador. Accepting that leaving the province was where my life was headed, was one of the hardest and most important lessons I ever learned.
It was that point in time when I learned that I needed to stop making sweeping assumptions about my life. I needed to remain open to the life that might be unfolding before me that had nothing to do with my preconceived plan.
