Existing Struggle, New Potential

Change is hard. For the most part, we as humans fear it and try to avoid it. Though we all have a need for uncertainty, we tend to isolate it to areas where we deem it safe. 

This is why when we approach change it's often an incremental strategy that we take. It feels safer to try to slowly nudge the system, large or small, into something new. 

Here, Richard Buckminster Fuller, suggests that's not possible. We need to create a new normal. Systems are designed to give us the outcomes we get. If we want different outcomes, we need a new model.
