Staying for Eight Days

I'm finishing up reading In This Together. The final chapter is a transcription of an interview between now Senator Murray Sinclair, Chair of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and Shelagh Rogers, CBC host.  I'd encourage you to get and read this book. You can also hear a piece of the interview from Shelagh's show The Next Chapter.

There's a lot of wisdom in these 25 pages. The first piece that stood out to me was how the interview was taking place. Senator Sinclair had met Shelagh at her house in Gabriola Island for what was supposed to be an afternoon. This initial visit turned into eight days together.

And here a new life goal was born – to be flexible and free enough to make that kind of decision. I'm definitely too caught up in all the things I have to do and the productivity that I need to accomplish to make a call like that. I'm learning more and more about not over scheduling my life, but it's a learning journey.

Much more to come on being inspired by this interview. I hope you get to take it in too.
