The Other

Things can seem pretty divisive these days. Us versus them. If we don't agree with someone's views we call them an idiot. 

That's why it was so inspiring to hear about Daryl Davis's story on Out in the Open with Piya Chattopadhyay

Daryl is an African American musician who routinely spent time with KKK members curiously learning about why they held their beliefs and generously questioning about where that belief came from. He estimates he helped turn 200 people away from the klan. 

It's a beautiful lesson in keeping space for curiosity and faith in humankind even when our first reaction is to judge. Thanks Mr. Davis for being a very generous human.
