In The Alchemist Paulo Coelho describes something called your personal legend. This is when you are using your unique gift and walking the path that allows you to share that gift freely with others. It doesn't always mean that journey is easy, in fact, at times it's often quite a test – as the young shepherd in the book finds out.
However, if you are living your personal legend you will notice that as you stay on that path joy and happiness come your way. This could show up in all kinds of different ways. It could be a new job, strengthening of relationships or even a new perspective.
When you're living that legend there's a sureness and steady hand that you embody. It's a light that shines bright from within and can serve as a beacon for others too.
