A dear friend and wise mentor reminded me today that while it is admirable to be ever improving upon yourself, it is also a good idea to stop and celebrate along the way.
I've had little bits and pieces here and there of this, but for the most part I write on what I'm working on rather than what I think I've built.
I do believe in progress over perfection though and that means we need to celebrate all the little steps and successes along the way. For it is always the journey and not the destination that is the important part.
It's a great reminder to be grateful for ourselves and that our worlds need a little (or a lot in my case) more celebration in them.
So here's to celebrating 21 months of (nearly consistent) daily blogging, to starting a kindness movement in my own life and to saying yes to all kinds of leadership over the last two years. I hope that you'll take a moment to celebrate your small and big wins too.
