Imposter Gratitude

My imposter voice has held me back from things. It has stopped me from stepping into leadership positions or raising my hand first to answer a question. I've always thought of it as something I could probably live without. Cue a very timely article from Ozan Varol on why this voice is a good thing.

Like anything your imposter voice is a balance. You can't let it be so loud that you are paralyzed by worry and you also can't lose it entirely because you risk hubris and ego taking over. Our imposter voice can nudge us to listen a little longer before speaking, which is something most of us humans can work on.

The imposter voice has a light and a dark side. The magic is when we find the balance between both of its parts.
