Growth Path

It's amazing how quickly a new (and possibly initially scary) routine can settle in over time.

At first everything seems overwhelming. We're unsure how we'll ever get through and the reflex to just bury our head seems warranted.

If we keep putting one foot in front of the other though we figure out how to cope. We discover we have room to expand and absorb these news things. In time, we actually begin to thrive in this new situation and we marvel at how far we've come.

We then use these learnings to look for the next leap, climb or jump that will put us back into that same stance of growth. The opportunity to continually test out how high we can fly since we know it's just as dangerous to fly low.

p.s. this post was inspired by our newest kitty Mallow, who in 6 months has gone from hiding inside couches to going toe to toe with his older and bigger cat brother, Sawyer.
