Persevere to make it possible

For over 3 years I worked on a project. Like any good project, it had a lot of moving parts. It required a lot of iteration and evolution. I can’t tell you the number of times we thought we were at the finish line and then something would happen to move that goal post a little further away.

But we rose to the occasion each time. We found a way to laugh at the finish line getting further away. A quick “how fascinating” and then diving back into the work.

This week it all paid off. I got to take my daughter to experience the project in her community. We played and connected with our neighbours and enjoyed the outdoors.

Everything worth doing requires perseverance and possibility. This moment will help to fuel me in the future when the light at the end of the tunnel grows a little dimmer. My daughter smiling and playing with the other children while the adults joined in or got to know one another.
