Pause Muscles

I'm always trying out different filters in my ongoing quest to figure out how to focus my time. What aligns with my values? What is helping me grow? What allows me to spend time connecting with others? Does it take away from spending time with those that I love?

All of these help to create boundaries that are very slowly making me feel like, from a big picture level anyways, I have some focus. I'm still struggling with the day to day though. 

The challenge I have is applying these in the moment. I tend to just act or react to something instead of pausing and allowing myself to use a filter.  I'm always very impressed with individuals who have this reflex of pausing before they respond to things. They take these little reflective moments all the time. 

I have a feeling that learning to do this will be a turning point for me.
