I've found a new podcast to love. It's called Mentoring Moments and it's all about women mentoring and sharing wisdom with other women. On this episode host Denise Restauri was speaking with Agapi Stassinopoulos about her story and her newest book Wake Up the Joy of You.
They spent a lot of time about connecting with yourself. With your breath and your heartbeat. Emphasizing the fact that when we lose this and override our own wisdom we will pay the price.
They both shared stories of times when they had done this and they'd physically hurt themselves because of it. Pushing through being too tired or going out to something when they should have just stayed home. Each of these choices resulting in a physical pain that served as a memory of the times when they lost touch with their own wisdom.
I have many times when I've lost touch. Whether it's a broken arm, a general numbness or losing some part of my health, there's always been a consequence to trying to push myself further than my energy was able to go or in a wrong direction. Not practicing connecting with my heart and breath multiple times a day everyday. Letting my own wisdom lead me.
