Shame Creep

Guilt vs shame. It's sometimes hard to distinguish. One is that we did something bad the other is that we are bad. Guilt we can let go because it was an act that we did once. Shame creeps in and plants itself trying to convince us that we're not worthy of good things and filling us with self-doubt.

Do I feel bad for sending an email adding something onto someone's plate? Or do I feel like I should be able to handle more than I should and think they will judge me if I ask them for their help?

It's impossible to become impervious to shame. We can get quicker at getting ourselves out of it though. Learning to label it as  guilt and let it go.
